Graduate Positions
Graduate Positions encompass all graduate employment opportunities that specifically advertise for a recent graduate. These types of positions are offered across all sectors and industries. They provide students with training and development within their chosen field.
They differ from Graduate Programs because they do not incorporate rotational opportunities throughout departments within an organisation. They do however provide students with the training and development they need to contribute effectively and efficiently to the organisation and grow as a professional within their chosen field.
These positions are often advertised as Graduate or Assistant, for example, Graduate Marketing Advisor, or Assistant Accountant or Graduate Architect.
Entry-level positions are also a good place for a graduate to start looking for work. Entry-level positions may not relate directly to your chosen profession, but will increase your experience and employability. For this reason entry-level positions are a good starting point for 3rd year students to start looking for more professional work options while finishing their degree. They are also useful if graduates wish to associate themselves with a certain organisation – starting from the bottom and working their way up, for example, working with a bank as a Teller or Customer Service Officer during third year or upon graduating, and applying for the graduate program at the same bank.
There are a number of websites advertising graduate/entry-level positions and all sorts of things graduates and final year students need to know, we recommend you refer to them:
